Ambassadors Program in Global Health (APGH)

Overview

Welcome to the Ambassador Program for Global Health/One Health (APGH) at Michigan State University (MSU)! As a dynamic and engaged student organization, APGH is committed to raising awareness and fostering understanding of global health and One Health principles within the MSU community. Our constitution outlines the core values, objectives, and regulations that guide our activities.

Purpose

The primary purpose of APGH is to promote awareness of global health and One Health, aiming to cultivate knowledge, teamwork, and engagement among pre-health students. Our goals include:

Through events, lectures, and activities, we strive to raise awareness of global health and One Health issues, encouraging informed discussions within the MSU community.

We are dedicated to providing opportunities for members to gain in-depth knowledge of global health and One Health, fostering a well-rounded understanding of these crucial fields.

APGH serves as a platform for pre-health students to develop teamwork and collaborative skills, creating a supportive community for shared learning and growth.

APGH is committed to promoting and developing scholarly and humanistic activities related to global health and One Health, encouraging members to engage in impactful initiatives.

APGH Regulations

To maintain the vibrancy and effectiveness of our organization, we adhere to the following regulations:

APGH hosts monthly lectures featuring guest speakers who are experts in global health and One Health, providing valuable insights to our members.

Members are encouraged to attend every lecture, ensuring active participation and knowledge-sharing within the community.

One undergraduate study abroad experience related to international/global health (IGH) is mandatory for Executive Board members.

We conduct weekly E-board meetings via Zoom, facilitating efficient communication and decision-making.

Members are required to complete 2 volunteering hours per semester, promoting community engagement and service.

The APGH constitution can be amended through a vote by the APGH members, ensuring a democratic and inclusive decision-making process.

In the event of over 50 applicants, members of APGH are selected based on a fair and transparent process.
